The company was founded by Mr. Mateo Leal, who, in his labor to build a home for his family when they moved to South Texas, was met with high prices, disappointing customer service- or both, at the existing building material stores he was forced to supply from. Learning from his experiences, he established Los Pinos Hardware the following year- then a small building built up from an existing home on the corner of 5 Mile and Shuerbach Rd in Mission TX, with none other mission than to exist to help people do the most with their hard-earned money.
The company quickly caught on and grew due to its strong dedication to its customers and lowest pricing in the market. It is now an 8-store leader in building materials branching across all of Hidalgo and Starr Counties and delivering across Texas.
